Self-contained units in Bruce Rock

Just over a year ago TR Homes built and delivered four one module units to Bruce Rock, in the heart of the Wheatbelt, after being awarded a Shire tender. We recently spoke to Ashleigh Waight, Community Development Officer at the Shire about the units.

Ashleigh, please tell us a little about the units and who uses them.

Located in the Caravan Park, the units provide a high quality, self-contained accommodation option for the community and visitors. Most of the people that stay in the units are tourist or travelling through town, as well as business people, families and tradesman.

How are the units now, almost a year after they arrived?

The units are fantastic. We have had rave reports about them! They are a great asset to our community. There are no structural issues and they are working really well.

Why was TR awarded the tender?

TR Homes were the most competitive on price. On first meeting with TR we were greeted warmly and there was no hesitation in helping us out where needed. The finishes in the homes were immaculate and well presented. We found them really easy to deal with and would have no hesitations in recommending them to others.

What are the advantages/benefits you see in building modular/pre-fab/transportable homes?

The main advantage of modular units/homes is the time efficiency and short time frames. The quality of the homes are impeccable, and to purchase a unit/house and have it built and delivered on a truck within a time frame of 4 months is fantastic for a development like ours. To not have to worry about organising contractors is a great bonus as well.

Tell us a little about Bruce Rock.

Bruce Rock is a thriving agricultural town with an approximate population of 700 people located in the heart of the Wheatbelt, 245km east of Perth. We welcome visitors to enjoy the picturesque main street, gardens, amphitheatre and sculpture park, historic buildings, museums, federation style veranda’s and great facilities. With a great community spirit, rich agricultural history and plenty of services and facilities on offer, Bruce Rock is an ideal country town to raise a family.

Many thanks Ashleigh!
