Q: What type of homes do you build?
A: We build steel-framed homes. Due to location of suppliers & trades, we are able to offer site-built homes to families within approx. 100km of Perth. For families who live further afield we build modular homes (also referred to as transportables). However don't make the mistake of thinking we build dongas. We build high quality, family homes at an affordable price so that we're able to help ALL families live in their dream home, no matter where they live.
Q: Where do you build?
A: We are able to build you a home anywhere in Western Australia, whether you live in Perth, in town, on the beach, in the forest or on a farm. The list of regional towns we've built in recently is endless, but here's a few: Grass Patch, Kojonup, Katanning, Northam, Dowerin, Pingelly, Kellerberrin, Coolgardie, Carnarvon, Exmouth, Karratha, Newman & Derby.
Q: What are specifications?
A: These are your standard inclusions in a home and should include things like what size appliances you’ll get, interior inclusions such as what type of cupboards, mirrors, basins and tap ware are included, and exterior inclusions such as roof type and wall cladding type. You can find TR's standard specification on the back of our brochures.
Q: How strong are your homes?
A: All of our designs are individually approved by a Structural Engineer and depending on your location & design will withstand cyclonic and seismic activity. All of our roof and wall frames are made from Bluescope steel and you can choose whether your floor is made from steel or concrete.
Q: Can I personalise my home?
A: Absolutely. There are many ways we can help you modify your home to suit you. You can choose the type & colour of external cladding on your home or ask one of our friendly Sales Consultants can assist you to modify our standard designs to accomodate your needs, whether you need more bedrooms, a larger kitchen or have disabiity requirements.
Q: Are your homes energy rated?
A: Yes. Each of our homes are individually assessed & rated. The key to ensuring your home rates the very best it can is actually the orientation. On some properties you're unable to choose which way your home faces, however if you can try to ensure you main living areas face North.
Q: What is a PreStart Meeting?
A: It's a meeting you have with one of our professional PreStart Consultants where you can choose the colours & materials that you want in your home. Don't worry if you're unsure what colours will work best together - our PreStart Consultants are trained to help you with this plus we have many items on display and we have 6 display homes on-site to give you inspiration.
Q: Are your homes insulated?
A: Yes. On all of our homes, the ceiling and all of the external walls are insulated at no extra cost. We can also add extra insulation and sound insulation to the internal walls if you wish.
